The most valuable street tree in Britain has been identified as a £750,000 plane in the heart of Mayfair. The tree that dates back to the Vitorian era and is six feet wide is located in Berkeley Square. It emerged as the most valuable in the capital according to a valuing system developed by local authority tree officers. Their system assesses a tree’s worth by its size, health, historical significance and how many people live nearby to enjoy it.

There are dozens more trees worth more than £500,000 in boroughs such as Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster. In less fashionable outer boroughs, a £267,000 oak has been identified in Southgate as well as a £200,000 plane in Epping High Street. Now only to cut up those trees and sell them!

This article will show you the top 5 beautiful places in Singapore which you should visit the next time you’re in Singapore. Remember, no visit is complete if you don’t check out the places mentioned here.1. Sentosa
The first beautiful place I have in mind is Sentosa. If you like the sun, sand and beach and perhaps theme parks and good food, then Sentosa is a dream place for you.

I know you sometimes might love to let the kids or young ones frolick in the sand – there’s no better place than Sentosa. Go to Siloso beach for the best beach experience in Singapore.

2. Boat Quay
The next thing I’d like to mention to you is Boat Quay. Now, I know that sometimes you might want to get a drink or two late at night – well, Boat Quay is right up your alley. Boasting some of the most popular pubs and clubs in the island nation, Boat is definitely one of the top 5 beautiful places in Singapore – particularly at night.

3. Botanic Gardens
Ok, what’s the next place you ask? Have you ever wanted a stroll through beautiful Southeast Asian flora? Well, the Botanic Gardens, next in our list of beautiful places in Singapore, is a perfect match for you.

Inside, you will see all manner of trees, shrubs and flowers known to Singapore and the region. I know that if you love flowers, the Botanic Gardens is a must-visit.

4. Marina Bay
I’ve always known people who love to stay near the bay area. Well, Singapore has its own bay – Marina Bay - all set to be world famous in 2010 when the Integrated Resorts open.

If you are thinking of settling down in Singapore and buying a place, then check out the properties along the Marina Bay. They are, of course, the most expensive parcels of land in Singapore – so bring like, two million Singapore dollars before you choose a unit, ok?

5. Orchard Road
If you love shopping (and heck I know you do), the Orchard Road shopping district will be a ‘beautiful place’ in Singapore. All manner of shopping centres (e.g. Takashimaya, The Paragon, The Heeren, Centrepoint) exist along Orchard Road and is a definite haven for shopping addicts. Now don’t overspend here ok? You still need some money for the plane home

Toronto has a great deal to offer the visitor, whether on vacation or just passing through. It is a bustling city full of attractions for adults and children, ranging from some very interesting museums to zoos and amusement parks. It is also a great base for visiting Niagara Falls which is about 80 miles away, or less than two hours drive.

The CN Tower is what everybody connects Toronto with, but that is just one of the many attractions this city has to offer the tourist. The view from the top of the tower is fantastic, and you can even see the Niagara Falls. The tower itself is a complex that the kids will love, and has an observation lounge and revolving restaurant.

Another must for the children is the Paramount Canada’s Wonderland, a massive theme park with over 50 rides and a water park with a massive outdoor wave pool. There is also the Centerville Amusement Park covering a total of 600 acres, jam packed full with attractions suitable for both children and adults.

Background Information to the United Arab Emirates and Dubai: -

Dubai is one of the seven states that make up the United Arab Emirates (UAE); it is located in the Middle East. The UAE borders the Gulf of Oman and the Persian Gulf and is situated between Oman and Saudi Arabia. The United Arab Emirates was formed in 1971 by the then ‘Trucial States’ after their independence from Britain.

The UAE is governed by a Supreme Council of Rulers, the council is made up of the seven emirs and they appoint the prime minister and the cabinet for the country. Despite being ultimately ruled by the Supreme Council, as with the other six states, Dubai maintains a large degree of autonomy from the UAE when it comes to general decision making for the city’s development.

Oil was first discovered in the United Arab Emirates in the 1950s, before that the country’s economy was built on fishing and pearling, since 1962, when Abu Dhabi became the first of the emirates to begin exporting the oil, the country’s economy has been completely transformed. (more…)
